We would like to mention that older investors who have savings in Personal Equity Plans (PEPs) and Individual Savings Accounts (ISAs) could lose 40% of their savings through Inheritance Tax (IHT).

It is estimated that there are about 165000 over-70s holding tax-sheltered portfolios worth more than £100000.

It might be advantages to consider transferring these funds into an alternative scheme to protect them against IHT.
