Evening, I'm new to share purchasing, but have an interest in the while process. What I was wondering is, is there an equation or otherwise that helps to determine the gain on investment ?? (Easy numbers example): £50 of shares purchased at 20p Shares rocket and at the point you decide to sell are at 500p Again...simple numbers and I suppose unrealistic gain potential but, how do you work out the gain ?? Thankyou for answering what is probably a very simple question, I appreciate it
