I saw this personal investing course offered on eBay:
http://tinyurl.com/6snjt56
It looks appealling, for the price, but is anyone familiar with it and can you recommend it? Would it serve well as a general reference work on the multifariou aspects of personal investing?

Thanks..

Difficult to say unless you have done the course and passed an exam. So let's think about it. Why would you want the course? Are you a professional upgrading to Level4 because of RDR? In which case is it a recognised course and what about the relevant exams. One of the recognised/recommended coursese is about £2000+£450 for three exams (7City)!
Or do you just want it for learning about investing? For that £650 (original price) seems very steep. A good book like IC Beginners Guide to Investing should be a very good start (£10 secondhand?). The item was also puiblished in 2006 so could be new stuff missing or lots of info out of date.
In summary not sure how to advise you (unless, of course, you are the seller!). Maybe I would ask for a few sample pages (or opportunity to look through it). If you go to the website suggested you can download a sample which will give you an idea how the book is written. If you are really keen to learn it may be worth it (bear in mind there won't be any miracle ways to success!)
You pays your money and takes your choice!
