I would like to invest £1,000 in shares - could I please have some advice on the best way to get started?
Posted on Sep 2, 2010 by anon

Looking at the prices of the shares I have, it seems as though my GBP share prices are quoted in pence, e.g. Dragon Oil @ 420.25 actually means £4.20; however, my US shares appear to be quoted in USD, e.g. a price of 420.25 would actually mean 420 dollars and 25 cents. Is this correct?
