Looking at the prices of the shares I have, it seems as though my GBP share prices are quoted in pence, e.g. Dragon Oil @ 420.25 actually means £4.20; however, my US shares appear to be quoted in USD, e.g. a price of 420.25 would actually mean 420 dollars and 25 cents. Is this correct?...

Hi Gray,
Yes, that's correct! UK shares on LSE etc. are quoted in pence. US listed (NYSE, NASDAQ etc.) are quoted in dollars & cents.
Just watch out for stocks in Europe, they are quoted in euros and cents.
