Review

We have dubbed this book "A beginners guide to investing" as we feel that it is ideal for someone who is relatively new to the stock market. Its key purpose is to unravel the sometimes confusing and complicated world of stock market investment.

The author, Kevin Goldstein-Jackson is a private investor who has made a successful career from trading shares on the London Stock Market.

The book begins with a basic introduction to the investment market - the different ways of buying and selling shares, who to turn to for advice and also explains seemingly obvious yet fundamental points - when, for example, he asks the question "what is a share?"

Kevin Goldstein-Jackson then goes on to discuss in detail the various techniques that can be used when decided in which company to invest - these tactics include following the share price, researching the company and so on.

The author then attempts to analyse the deciding factors behind a companys share price and he explains some of the underlying factors that actually determine a shares value in the market.

Finally the book finishes with a "glossary" of very useful stock-broking terms.

This is a great beginners guide to investing and if you are new to investments or want to learn a bit more from someone who has years of practical experience trading shares this book is a great starting point.
